Champions Festival (World Championships 2022)Grading odds
PSA has graded 80 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 2.5% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $87.62£65.95€77.17 on average against $179.99£135.47€158.51 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $92.37£69.52€81.34, so a copy is worth more raw.
1 of the 4 grades priced above had no sales at that grade, so the figure is modelled from the grades that did rather than observed.

The Galarian Perrserker (Prerelease) [Staff] on this page is the Holofoil printing from Sword & Shield Promo Cards, and it trades at $69.58£52.37€61.28 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $46.95£35.34€41.35, PSA 9 $120£90.32€105.68, CGC/BGS 9.5 $132£99.35€116.25, PSA 10 $164.99£124.18€145.30. PSA has graded 80 copies of it. 33 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Galarian Perrserker (Prerelease) [Staff] worth?
A PSA 10 Galarian Perrserker (Prerelease) [Staff] from Sword & Shield Promo Cards sells for $164.99. 2.5% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Galarian Perrserker (Prerelease) [Staff] from Sword & Shield Promo Cards worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $87.62 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $80 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $92.37.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $164.99£124.18€145.30. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
