The index above prices one loose copy of each card. This one prices every PSA slab that exists, each copy counted at the grade it came back as, which is why it runs 15,553 times larger: the population report holds millions of graded copies where the index holds one of each card. Grades below 7 are valued at the raw card, and a card with no price on file at a grade contributes nothing for it, so the total is a conservative one. It reads PSA’s own report rather than a summary of it, which is four times the cards. CGC and Ace are counted above and deliberately not valued here: this ladder is PSA prices, and their tens are neither the same grade nor the same money. Ace publishes no prices at all.

What a set of one of every card costs at each grade, month by month, in actual money rather than an index. A PSA 10 of everything runs $2,583,394£1,944,383€2,275,116 against $89,648£67,473€78,950 raw, and the gap between the lines is the grade premium the whole market is paying. Only the 446 cards priced at every one of the five grades are counted, in every month: coverage is uneven enough that summing each grade over whatever it happens to cover would draw a PSA 7 line sitting low because fewer cards are priced rather than because the grade is worth less. The percentages beside it are still the chain-linked PSA 10 index, which measures price moves alone and reads the whole cycle, the 2022 correction included.

The 85 cards over $1,000 hold 24% of the market between them. The 11,131 cards under a dollar hold 0.6%.
