PSA has graded 1,308 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 13.9% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $609.17£458.49€536.48 on average against $353.85£266.32€311.62 for the card plus $149£112.14€131.22 at Express, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $255.32£192.17€224.86, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Mewtwo (56) on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from Expedition, and it trades at $222.49£167.46€195.94 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 6 $84.44£63.55€74.36, PSA 7 $252.51£190.05€222.38, PSA 8 $349.99£263.42€308.23, PSA 9 $588.82£443.17€518.56, CGC/BGS 9.5 $684.99£515.56€603.25, PSA 10 $1,993£1,500€1,755. PSA has graded 1,308 copies of it. 1,128 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Mewtwo (56) worth?
A PSA 10 Mewtwo (56) from Expedition sells for $1,993. 6.6% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Mewtwo (56) from Expedition worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $462.07 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $184.85 for a raw copy plus $169 to send it through PSA Express, so it clears $108.22.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $1,993£1,500€1,755. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
