Absol exGrading odds
CGC has graded 112 copies. Where they landed:
These are CGC grades. The prices above are for PSA slabs, and a CGC 10 is not the same grade as a PSA 10, so read the two as separate markets rather than one.
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 10.7% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $121.18£91.21€106.72 on average against $108.02£81.30€95.13 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $13.16£9.91€11.59, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Bagon on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from EX Power Keepers, and it trades at $7.56£5.69€6.66 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 8 $36.60£27.55€32.23, PSA 9 $74.74£56.25€65.82, CGC/BGS 9.5 $82£61.72€72.21, PSA 10 $678.23£510.47€597.30. PSA has graded 84 copies of it. 150 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Bagon worth?
A PSA 10 Bagon from EX Power Keepers sells for $678.23. 12.3% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Bagon from EX Power Keepers worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $134.35 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $8.03 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $26.33.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $678.23£510.47€597.30. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
