UmbreonGrading odds
CGC has graded 70 copies. Where they landed:
These are CGC grades. The prices above are for PSA slabs, and a CGC 10 is not the same grade as a PSA 10, so read the two as separate markets rather than one.
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 21.2% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $555.30£417.94€489.03 on average against $185.22£139.41€163.12 for the card plus $149£112.14€131.22 at Express, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $370.08£278.54€325.91, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Rare Candy on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from EX Sandstorm, and it trades at $24.99£18.81€22.01 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $16£12.04€14.09, PSA 8 $19.50£14.68€17.17, PSA 9 $49.99£37.62€44.02, CGC/BGS 9.5 $55£41.40€48.44, PSA 10 $2,500£1,882€2,202. PSA has graded 52 copies of it. 124 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Rare Candy worth?
A PSA 10 Rare Candy from EX Sandstorm sells for $2,500. 11.4% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Rare Candy from EX Sandstorm worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $314.31 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $16.22 for a raw copy plus $169 to send it through PSA Express, so it clears $129.09.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $2,500£1,882€2,202. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
