Raichu V

What Ace copies sold for in the UK

Completed eBay UK sales, in pounds, where the listing recorded the grader and the grade. The graders are not interchangeable here: across 154 cards with both, an Ace 10 sells for about 60% of a PSA 10, and an Ace 9 for about 80% of a PSA 9. The count beside each price is how many sales it is a median of.

What moves the price of this card

The Raichu V on this page is the Holofoil printing from Brilliant Stars, and it trades at $2.03£1.53€1.79 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.

Graded, it runs PSA 8 $11.65£8.77€10.26, PSA 9 $19.84£14.93€17.47, CGC/BGS 9.5 $22£16.56€19.37, PSA 10 $59£44.41€51.96. PSA has graded 377 copies of it. 117 completed sales are on file.

What is a PSA 10 Raichu V worth?

A PSA 10 Raichu V from Brilliant Stars sells for $59. 43.2% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.

Is Raichu V from Brilliant Stars worth grading?

On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $35.44 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $2 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $66.55.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $59£44.41€51.96. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
