SwampertGrading odds
CGC has graded 177 copies. Where they landed:
These are CGC grades. The prices above are for PSA slabs, and a CGC 10 is not the same grade as a PSA 10, so read the two as separate markets rather than one.
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 3.4% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $133.33£100.35€117.42 on average against $176.75£133.03€155.66 for the card plus $149£112.14€131.22 at Express, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $43.42£32.68€38.24, so a copy is worth more raw.
1 of the 6 grades priced above had no sales at that grade, so the figure is modelled from the grades that did rather than observed.

What moves the price of this card
The Palkia on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from Great Encounters, and it trades at $10.39£7.82€9.15 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 6 $33.62£25.30€29.61, PSA 7 $22.45£16.90€19.77, PSA 8 $51.50£38.76€45.35, PSA 9 $138.29£104.08€121.79, CGC/BGS 9.5 $152£114.40€133.86, PSA 10 $2,400£1,807€2,114. PSA has graded 174 copies of it. 269 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Palkia worth?
A PSA 10 Palkia from Great Encounters sells for $2,400. 2.0% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Palkia from Great Encounters worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $89.56 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $7.75 for a raw copy plus $169 to send it through PSA Express, so it loses $87.19.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $2,400£1,807€2,114. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.

Spacial Rend10Search your deck for a Stadium card, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. If there is any Stadium card in play, discard it.
Transback40You may flip a coin. If heads, discard all Energy attached to Palkia and put the Defending Pokémon and all cards attached to it on top of your opponent's deck. Your opponent shuffles his or her deck afterward.
Weak to Lightning +20. Tournament legal in neither standard nor expanded.
