PSA has graded 2,170 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 20.4% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $115.68£87.07€101.88 on average against $110.58£83.23€97.38 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $5.10£3.84€4.49, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Magneton (26) on this page is the 1st Edition printing from Fossil, and it trades at $13.70£10.31€12.07 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 6 $14.50£10.91€12.77, PSA 7 $27.67£20.83€24.37, PSA 8 $38.32£28.84€33.75, PSA 9 $70.67£53.19€62.24, CGC/BGS 9.5 $78£58.71€68.69, PSA 10 $380£286.01€334.65. PSA has graded 2,170 copies of it. 1,760 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Magneton (26) worth?
A PSA 10 Magneton (26) from Fossil sells for $380. 23.5% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Magneton (26) from Fossil worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $128.16 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $10.59 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $17.58.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $380£286.01€334.65. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
