Latias

What Ace and PSA copies sold for in the UK

Completed eBay UK sales, in pounds, where the listing recorded the grader and the grade. The graders are not interchangeable here: across 154 cards with both, an Ace 10 sells for about 60% of a PSA 10, and an Ace 9 for about 80% of a PSA 9. The count beside each price is how many sales it is a median of.

What moves the price of this card

The Latias on this page is the 1st Edition Holofoil printing from Japanese Legendary Shine Collection, and it trades at $89£65.93€78.99 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.

Graded, it runs PSA 7 $59.50£44.07€52.81, PSA 8 $100£74.07€88.75, PSA 9 $189.95£140.70€168.59, CGC/BGS 9.5 $209£154.82€185.50, PSA 10 $692.49£512.96€614.62. PSA has graded 3,245 copies of it. 822 completed sales are on file.

What is a PSA 10 Latias worth?

A PSA 10 Latias from Japanese Legendary Shine Collection sells for $692.49. 61.7% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.

Is Latias from Japanese Legendary Shine Collection worth grading?

On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $487.71 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $89 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $298.72.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $692.49£512.96€614.62. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
