PSA has graded 2,850 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 15.1% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $153.27£115.36€134.98 on average against $119.08£89.63€104.87 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $34.19£25.74€30.11, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Lapras (25) on this page is the 1st Edition printing from Fossil, and it trades at $29.76£22.40€26.21 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 5 $25.43£19.14€22.40, PSA 6 $31.80£23.93€28.01, PSA 7 $34.50£25.97€30.38, PSA 8 $47.50£35.75€41.83, PSA 9 $110.33£83.04€97.16, CGC/BGS 9.5 $121£91.07€106.56, PSA 10 $614.06£462.17€540.78. PSA has graded 2,850 copies of it. 1,969 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Lapras (25) worth?
A PSA 10 Lapras (25) from Fossil sells for $614.06. 19.1% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Lapras (25) from Fossil worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $179.97 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $19.09 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $60.89.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $614.06£462.17€540.78. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
