Iris's Fighting Spirit

What Ace and PSA copies sold for in the UK

Completed eBay UK sales, in pounds, where the listing recorded the grader and the grade. The graders are not interchangeable here: across 154 cards with both, an Ace 10 sells for about 60% of a PSA 10, and an Ace 9 for about 80% of a PSA 9. The count beside each price is how many sales it is a median of.

What is a PSA 10 Iris's Fighting Spirit worth?

A PSA 10 Iris's Fighting Spirit from Japanese High Class Pack: MEGA Dream ex sells for $44.50. 59.4% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.

Is Iris's Fighting Spirit from Japanese High Class Pack: MEGA Dream ex worth grading?

On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $37.64 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $15.84 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $78.19.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $44.50£33.18€39.81. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
