Latios exGrading odds
CGC has graded 300 copies. Where they landed:
These are CGC grades. The prices above are for PSA slabs, and a CGC 10 is not the same grade as a PSA 10, so read the two as separate markets rather than one.
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 18.3% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $79.86£60.11€70.33 on average against $115.11£86.64€101.37 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $35.25£26.53€31.04, so a copy is worth more raw.

The Houndour on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from EX Dragon, and it trades at $17.72£13.34€15.61 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $25.82£19.43€22.74, PSA 8 $46.48£34.98€40.93, PSA 9 $89£66.99€78.38, CGC/BGS 9.5 $98£73.76€86.31, PSA 10 $173.49£130.58€152.79. PSA has graded 213 copies of it. 286 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Houndour worth?
A PSA 10 Houndour from EX Dragon sells for $173.49. 9.5% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Houndour from EX Dragon worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $66.60 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $15.12 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $48.51.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $173.49£130.58€152.79. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
