PSA has graded 289 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 21.8% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $113.21£85.20€99.70 on average against $128.49£96.71€113.16 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $15.28£11.50€13.46, so a copy is worth more raw.

The Houndour (24) on this page is the 1st Edition printing from Neo Discovery, and it trades at $40.84£30.74€35.97 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $30£22.58€26.42, PSA 8 $52.45£39.48€46.19, PSA 9 $92.75£69.81€81.68, CGC/BGS 9.5 $102£76.77€89.83, PSA 10 $265£199.45€233.38. PSA has graded 289 copies of it. 407 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Houndour (24) worth?
A PSA 10 Houndour (24) from Neo Discovery sells for $265. 24.3% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Houndour (24) from Neo Discovery worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $120.89 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $28.50 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $7.60.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $265£199.45€233.38. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
