What Ace copies sold for in the UK

Completed eBay UK sales, in pounds, where the listing recorded the grader and the grade. The graders are not interchangeable here: across 154 cards with both, an Ace 10 sells for about 60% of a PSA 10, and an Ace 9 for about 80% of a PSA 9. The count beside each price is how many sales it is a median of.

What moves the price of this card

The Hitmonchan ex on this page is the Unlimited Holofoil printing from Japanese ADV Expansion Pack, and it trades at $22.48£16.76€20.11 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.

Graded, it runs PSA 7 $63.50£47.35€56.80, PSA 8 $99£73.82€88.56, PSA 9 $174.46£130.09€156.06, PSA 10 $1,623£1,210€1,452. PSA has graded 574 copies of it. 423 completed sales are on file.

What is a PSA 10 Hitmonchan ex worth?

A PSA 10 Hitmonchan ex from Japanese ADV Expansion Pack sells for $1,623. 31.2% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $1,623£1,210€1,452. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
