CGC has graded 118 copies. Where they landed:
These are CGC grades. The prices above are for PSA slabs, and a CGC 10 is not the same grade as a PSA 10, so read the two as separate markets rather than one.
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 15.2% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $56.74£42.70€49.97 on average against $111.83£84.17€98.49 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $55.09£41.47€48.52, so a copy is worth more raw.

What moves the price of this card
The Forretress on this page is the Reverse Holofoil printing from EX Dragon, and it trades at $20£15.05€17.61 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $28.43£21.40€25.04, PSA 8 $37.50£28.22€33.03, PSA 9 $57.99£43.65€51.07, CGC/BGS 9.5 $64£48.17€56.36, PSA 10 $154.99£116.65€136.49. PSA has graded 92 copies of it. 154 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Forretress worth?
A PSA 10 Forretress from EX Dragon sells for $154.99. 6.8% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Forretress from EX Dragon worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $43.61 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $11.84 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $68.22.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $154.99£116.65€136.49. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
