CharmanderGrading odds
PSA has graded 940 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 39.9% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $108.92£81.97€95.92 on average against $100.90£75.94€88.86 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $8.02£6.03€7.06, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Chikorita on this page is the Holofoil printing from McDonald's 25th Anniversary Promos, and it trades at $1.86£1.40€1.64 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 8 $6.50£4.89€5.72, PSA 9 $9£6.77€7.93, CGC/BGS 9.5 $21.54£16.21€18.97, PSA 10 $261.64£196.92€230.42. PSA has graded 940 copies of it. 553 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Chikorita worth?
A PSA 10 Chikorita from McDonald's 25th Anniversary Promos sells for $261.64. 40.5% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Chikorita from McDonald's 25th Anniversary Promos worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $110.83 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $0.91 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $9.93.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $261.64£196.92€230.42. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
