Mimikyu -160/091Grading odds
PSA has graded 766 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 27.9% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $46.89£35.29€41.30 on average against $112£84.30€98.63 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That loses $65.11£49€57.34, so a copy is worth more raw.

What moves the price of this card
The Chi-Yu ex on this page is the Holofoil printing from Paldean Fates, and it trades at $11.10£8.35€9.78 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $7£5.27€6.16, PSA 8 $24.99£18.81€22.01, PSA 9 $26.25£19.76€23.12, CGC/BGS 9.5 $29£21.83€25.54, PSA 10 $102.71£77.30€90.45. PSA has graded 766 copies of it. 450 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Chi-Yu ex worth?
A PSA 10 Chi-Yu ex from Paldean Fates sells for $102.71. 28.2% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Chi-Yu ex from Paldean Fates worth grading?
On the numbers, no. The average submission is worth $47.16 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $12.01 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it loses $64.84.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $102.71£77.30€90.45. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
