Pikachu (Winner)Grading odds
PSA has graded 168 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 0.6% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $824.65£620.67€726.24 on average against $699.99£526.85€616.46 for the card plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $124.66£93.82€109.78, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.
1 of the 3 grades priced above had no sales at that grade, so the figure is modelled from the grades that did rather than observed.

What moves the price of this card
The Celebratory Fanfare (Ace Trainer) on this page is the Normal printing from Mega Evolution Promo, and it trades at $677.16£509.66€596.35 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.
Graded, it runs PSA 8 $518.12£389.96€456.29, PSA 9 $1,200£903.18€1,057, CGC/BGS 9.5 $1,320£993.49€1,162. PSA has graded 168 copies of it. 159 completed sales are on file.
Is Celebratory Fanfare (Ace Trainer) from Mega Evolution Promo worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $824.65 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $600 for a raw copy plus $99.99 to send it through PSA Regular, so it clears $124.66.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
