PSA has graded 491 copies. Where they landed:
Why the verdict weights the odds
Only 10.0% of copies reach a 10, which is why the top price is the wrong number to plan around. Weighting each grade’s PSA price by these odds, a submission is worth $271.85£204.61€239.41 on average against $219£164.83€192.87 for the card plus $149£112.14€131.22 at Express, the cheapest level PSA will insure it at. That clears $52.85£39.78€46.55, so grading a clean copy is worth the wait.

The Altaria on this page is the Holofoil printing from EX Dragon, and it trades at $62.55£47.08€55.09 in near mint condition. The other 1 printing of the same card sits lower, which is normal: the scarcer print run always carries the premium.
Graded, it runs PSA 7 $35£26.34€30.82, PSA 8 $89.82£67.60€79.10, PSA 9 $149.99£112.89€132.09, CGC/BGS 9.5 $165£124.19€145.31, PSA 10 $1,805£1,359€1,590. PSA has graded 491 copies of it. 510 completed sales are on file.
What is a PSA 10 Altaria worth?
A PSA 10 Altaria from EX Dragon sells for $1,805. 11.7% of the copies PSA has graded came back a 10, so that price is the best case rather than the one a submission should expect.
Is Altaria from EX Dragon worth grading?
On the numbers, yes. The average submission is worth $304.54 with every grade weighted by how often this card comes back at it, against $50 for a raw copy plus $169 to send it through PSA Express, so it clears $85.54.
Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $1,805£1,359€1,590. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
