Neither PSA nor CGC has published a population report for this card, so the prices below are the best case rather than the likely one.

Why the verdict weights the odds

A PSA 10 sells for $1,426£1,073€1,256 against $42.17£31.74€37.14 ungraded plus $79.99£60.20€70.44 at Regular. Without a PSA population report there is nothing to weight those grades by, so this is a best case rather than an average. CGC numbers cannot stand in: the prices on this ladder are PSA prices and a CGC 10 is an easier grade to reach.

1 of the 4 grades priced above had no sales at that grade, so the figure is modelled from the grades that did rather than observed.

What moves the price of this card

The Alolan Raichu (Prerelease) on this page is the Holofoil printing from SM Promos, and it trades at $47.94£36.08€42.22 in near mint condition. Only one printing of this card was produced, so there is no cheaper version to confuse it with.

Graded, it runs PSA 8 $55£41.40€48.44, PSA 9 $99.11£74.59€87.28, CGC/BGS 9.5 $109£82.04€95.99, PSA 10 $1,426£1,073€1,256. 63 completed sales are on file.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $1,426£1,073€1,256. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
